The Boys in the Boat may be in the spotlight, but the UW women’s crew also has an impressive story to tell. Title IX shifted women’s rowing from a club activity to a varsity sport in the 1970’s. And success quickly followed for the UW women. Cerebral Palsy forced an experienced paraglider to give up his obsession ten years ago. But a bit of ingenuity combined with an intense desire to fly, allowed a man to return to his passion. Host Enrique Cerna has these stories from The Arc of King County.
