Mayor Murray announces Priority Hire Program executive order

Mayor Ed Murray, Seattle Central College President Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange and labor leader Monty Anderson announce a priority hire Executive Order and release this year's report at Seattle Vocational Institute. Priority hire requires contractors working on City-funded construction projects over $5 million to hire residents that live in economically distressed areas in Seattle and King County, along with setting goals for hiring women and people of color.
