Genji Mihara left Japan for a better life. He found it in Seattle. His business success led to new opportunities. But the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor changed all that. The very next day he was rounded up by the FBI and taken away. Mihara never became resentful. He not only helped Japanese Americans readjust to life after the war, he also assisted in the effort to rebuild a war-ravaged Japan. As Lori Matsukawa reports, he was one man honored by two countries for his selflessness and generosity.
